Lancashire County Council's Welfare Rights Service provides free, independent and confidential advice and representation on benefits and tax credits for people living in Lancashire. Whether you are unemployed, sick or disabled, retired, a carer or on low wages, they can:
* help you get all the benefits you are entitled to * advise and help you claim the right benefits * explain how your benefits are affected if your circumstances change * help you to appeal if you disagree with a benefit decision * help you deal with other problems with your benefits.
They are not part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
